Helena Bonham Carter: 'Dark Shadows' Is Going To Be 'Impossible To Sell'

Helena Bonham Carter may have loved her role in Tim Burton's approaching film "Dark Shadows," but she was incredibly frank concerning the project when MTV News swept up together with her before last night's Britannia Honours. Between stating that the film is going to be "impossible to marketInch to creating a amusing commentary around the original Television show in the '70s and 1980s, Bonham Carter gave us a genuine taste of what's to include the film. What she did not say, though, was it's coming back to vintage Burton. Rather, she clarified it's coming back to the love projects. "This can be a factor he competed the place to find see when he involved age 10, therefore it is coming back to his childhood roots of the items he loved watching," Bonham Carter stated from the original "Dark Shadows." "It's really a very bad, hilariously bad cleaning soap opera, and since it is so bad, he felt he needed to create a greatly costly movie." That being stated, Bonham Carter accepted that they loves the film in general, coupled with an enjoyable experience playing her character Dr. Julia Hoffman. But, since "Dark Shadows" wrapped so lately, the Burton regular accepted that they was getting a difficult time completely separating herself in the role. "I am talking about, she's an alcoholic mental health specialist, and so i had not performed that before. And she's got a secret. Every one has secrets. It is all about those who have secrets," she taunted. The difficult a part of selling "Dark Shadows" to some mainstream audience come in determining how you can classify it, apparently. To us, the main feature is it is a Tim Burton movie, but Bonham Carter stated galleries may not feel exactly the same way. "It will likely be unlike [anything], I believe. It's harmful to express that. But it is very original and it is type of uncategorizable. It will likely be impossible to market, frankly, since it is so ... it is a cleaning soap opera, but it is very, very subtle. I'm not sure. We'll see. It is a ghost story, however this is an unhappy vampire story, it's a combination of a wide variety of things along with a real ensemble piece. Hopefully it will likely be funny. I'm not sure," she stated. Are you currently searching toward "Dark Shadows"? Inform us within the comments section below or on Twitter!
