Sherak, Reitman set for Variety marketing confab

Sherak Reitman Tom Sherak and Ivan Reitman have been set as keynote speakers at Variety's Film Marketing Summit, set for Oct. 4-5 at the Universal Hilton.Sherak, prexy of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will take part in a keynote Q&A on Oct. 4, while helmer-producer Reitman will be featured the following day.Studio marketing mavens taking part in the opening-day "State of the Business" panel sesh include Warner Bros.' Sue Kroll, Fox's Oren Aviv, DreamWorks Animation's Anne Globe and U's Josh Goldstine.The summit, co-produced by Variety and Stradella Road, will put an emphasis on harnessing the growing number of opportunities to reach consumers through new and emerging media platforms.
